I bought a size S for my Shit Tzu, size was perfect. The lap that goes under the chin I would recommend you make it a little bit wider so if the pet slides his head a bit to the side it wont get in the water. He has only used it once, but I expect he will enjoy it.
I wish the handle on the back was wider; you can only hold it with two fingers or three at most, which is definitely not practical in an emergency situation when you're in the water after a kayak fall... The vest can be adjusted to fit the dog using the Velcro straps and the straps with loops that clip together to secure everything. For the rest, I am very happy, because this is the first time I have found a life jacket that fits my tiny dog's size! My dog is a small long-haired Chihuahua weighing only 2 kg, and the XS size fits her perfectly, it's great!

This product does not work as advertised with the chin rest. The chin test is narrow and very flimsy and if my dog turns his head either left or right his face is in the water. Also you state if the dog is botderline between sizes to order one size up, which i did and the lije jackect is way too big ecen with the velcro on the tightest snd the straps on the tightest. Its so big tgat its not rven suitable as a basic floatation device for the dog! I would never recommend this product! I hate it and its only good for the garbage. It was also expensive so money thriwn away!!!!
The worst customer service ever. I accidentally ordered the wrong size life jacket, so I was going to just wait for the order to come in and then return it. The order took almost a month to arrive. Then, once I got my order and try to email to process the return, they would not answer me. I have emailed four times at this point and have not gotten a response. Yet, I have gotten countless emails asking for a review. So here is your review. Save your money; buy from a different company that cares about their customers' satisfaction.
The life jacket was perfect! It fit my Dachshund great and kept him safe on our trip to the lake. I love the extra removable chin flap that kept his face out of the water. The only negative was that it didn’t arrive to me when it was supposed to. It was two days late and arrived a couple of hours before we left on the trip.
It took almost 6 weeks for me to receive just half of my order. I took advantage of a special deal that they were running to get two of their life vest for $70 instead of one life vest for $50. I paid them 70 some dollars, but they only sent me one when it finally arrived. And now they’ve gone radio silent on me and are not responding to my inquiries.

Its is 100% what it says it is. Its durable and steady. The Color is bright and easy to spot in the water while standing on land or from boat. It fits perfectly, and fits comfortable around the dogs body. The head holder/floating thingy is a nice touch which is a removable part you can zip it on and off as you like.
